Microcosm

Microcosm reads the body’s blood as a holographic carrier of consciousness, stitching together scientific, spiritual, and occult worldviews. Blood represents Fire in occult traditions, equals life energy. Using lab techniques, the images showed unusual microstructures, sacred geometry , then put through the kaleidoscope process to result in fractal-like expressions, which illustrates the holographic principle described by Bigelsen (2006), whereby blood carries information on the whole organism and even the Cosmos. This project combines the wisdom of quantum mechanics, holographic theories, and mysticism into a living visual image-making, exploring the magical-alchemical dimension of the body-mind-spirit connection.
